According to CDNOW Orbital‘s sixth album, The Altogether, is scheduled for a US release on 4 September (it had already been released in the UK for several months now). Thanks to the miracle of P2P sharing, I’ve had this for about five months in advance. It’s a bit less epic in scope then previous outings In Sides or The Middle of Nowhere, with an emphasis more on shorter, electro-tinged songs. The last track, “Meltdown”, is my personal favorite, clocking in just over 10 minutes; supposedly, there is a 24 minute version available on the DVD release. To round it all out, there’s a cover of the Doctor Who? theme — what else do you need?
