I discovered TerraServer tonight, courtesy of a tip from my dad. It’s pretty cool, but it’s not quite as easy to use as Mapquest’s service, which will give you the option for an aerial view after you’ve mapped your point of interest. Despite the pictures being in black and white, the image quality seems a little better on TerraServer than on Mapquest.
