The fact that a prominent British journalist, Robert Fisk of the Independent Sunday, was beaten severely at the hands of Afghan refugees this weekend, is not surprising, as hatred for all things Western has grown in Afghanistan with every bomb we have dropped. He was rescued from the mob by a Muslim cleric in the nick of time and treated by the Red Cross.
Also, today is International Human Rights Day.
