The weekend was so choice.

The weekend was so choice. Thanks to all who dropped in for our open house — you know who you are. If you missed it, don’t fret; we will have another gathering sometime in the future.

We still have enough cookies to feed all the people in [insert small third world country’s name here].

Andrew was impressed with my wife’s ability to be in a 403 places at once and STILL manage to greet everyone. What can I say? I’m a pretty darn lucky guy.

Something of interest: my next door neighbor at work, Rafe Colburn, has been nominated for Blogger of the Year at Scripting News. How did he get there? I’m sure it had to do with lots of juicy, interesting content, none of which has anything to do with the results of personality tests. You know those — the ones that pop up on other peoples blogs (e.g. Which Dead Russian Composer Are YOU Like, ad nauseum). They were cute originally, but now they are just annoying. Stop it.

Also this weekend: Marc Maxson, a.k.a. Duane Leonards, a.k.a. the man who founded the original Chewy Chunks, has returned from his stint in Gambia at the hands of the Peace Corps. He has the same weird, unbalanced sense of humor he had before he left, and he still has the ability to kill conversations in a room with one well-placed phrase. I would link a picture, or something, but he doesn’t have an online presence, and that’s just the way it is.

Cheers to you, Marc, and welcome home.
