Two things — one good, one not-so-good — from those over-correcting-right-wing-SOBs from FOX News. First, the good: Ken Layne, who has been “syndicated” by FOX News via FOX Weblogs, utterly slams the music industry as behaving worse than Enron to their customers and their employees, namly the artists. He uses lots of hyperlinks to illustrate his point. Lots.
Now, the not-as-good: this op-ed from the Straight Talk section of FOXNews.com takes what Mr. Layne found, mixes it in with that awful leglislation being proposed by Senator Fritz Hollings (D-SC), and then throws that ichor all over the entire Democratic party. Nice. The only reason that Democrats gets more funding than Republicans from the Entertainment industry is because they tend to be liberal. Why should the entire party be smeared by the proposal of the “Senator from Disney”? Oh, and this guy doesn’t bother to mention that the bill has a Republican co-sponsor: Senator Ted Stevens (R-AK).
Both parties should unite to squash that crappy legislation, making sure that is dead on arrival. Of course, if the fuss was over oil, we could really count on the Republicans.
