Two sides to every coin.
The Good: My wife and I ate dinner at the Mellow Mushroom tonight. Their big fiberglass mushrooms make the old money around Glenwood South squirm.
The Bad: Their pizza is still eclipsed by Lilly’s.
The Good: We had coffee after dinner.
The Bad: It was at Starbuck’s.
The Good: It was still a lovely time, spent in a comfy chair with my wife, being silly, gettin’ our caffeine on.
The Bad: It was still at Starbuck’s, where, for some reason, they like to serve coffee in paper cups unless you specifically ask for a ceramic mug.
The Good: They were playing a song by Over The Rhine (“If Nothing Else”, from Films for Radio) over the store’s stereo system.
The Bad: The waitstaff, when asked “Who brought in Over the Rhine?” shrugged and replied that it was just a compilation they had. Like I said, it was Starbucks.
The Good: Our product is kicking much butt at validation.
The Bad: I’m fixing a bug that’s holding the process up, so I need to go. Ciao.
