Back when I used to live in Syme Residence Hall at NCSU, one of my friends roomed with Matt McConnell, who was in Boy Scouts with me when I was back in high school. Matt was a “design-o”, meaning he was in the NCSU School of Design.

At some point, he started making really cool furniture out of glass and steel. I remember liking it; there was always a new “experiment” going on in his dorm room.

Flash forward to ten years later.

This evening, Michelle and I went to Port City Java in Cameron Village (note: they have fantastic mocha shakes), and found Matt’s business card on the bulletin board. He has a very nifty website.

Michelle and I want some of his neat-o lighting. Wonder if we can afford it?
