I just threw away my Birkenstocks. They were around three years old and totally beyond repair (cork, insoles, etc. shot completely), and the smell — OK, never mind the smell. Suffice to say that it was annoying me.
Time to get another pair of Arizonas — my third pair in seven years. (Note to self: they will last longer if you remember to seal the cork every four months.)
