This week is chock full of work. That’s right, it’s crunch time here at Alerts, so I may not be writing much here for a bit.

One cool thing: I’ve always wanted a drinking bird since I was a little kid. Now, thanks to the magic of yard sales, I have one. It makes a nice, whimsical addition to my desk. I would like to point out that mine doesn’t look as goofy as the standard “Happy Drinking Bird”, which is red, white and has a little top hat. This one is all glass a glass stand, and must be a bit unusual, because I cannot find a picture of this particular species of drinking bird on the Internet.
