Raleigh Teacher Pleads Guilty to Sex with a Former Student

Both Michelle and I know Ms. Mackie. She attended our wedding. We are understandably shocked. By all accounts, she was an excellent teacher, and it is saddening that the allegations of her sexual misconduct have turned out to be true, after all.

It would be easy to cluck to ourselves about “how terrible this is”, etc. But remember: we all fall short of the mark in one way or another.
