LineDriving

If you haven’t used MapBlast!’s LineDrive driving directions, you should check them out.

I sent them a suggestion for those of us still using really old B&W laser printers:

My only comment is that I have a musty old black and white laser printer (an HP II LaserJet compatible). As such, printing out the LineDrive directions looks pretty good, except for the street names, distances, and crossroads, which are fuzzy. This is due to my printer’s not-so-great halftoning/dithering. I suspect that there are a few people out there with printers similar to mine, so it would be nice if there was a “remove color” option on the Print Map page, where all of the color was removed from the map and it was just in black and white. If grayscale must be used, then make it darker than it is on the color page, as it’s nearly invisible on printers like mine.

Doing so would make everything appear much sharper on even the crappiest printers.

Let’s see if I get anything back. (Probably, “Dude, buy a new printer.”).
