Yikes. Three overtimes. It took almost another whole hockey game to decide this one. Unfortunately for us, our “OT mojo” was missing. Even though we lost, we didn’t give it up easy.

Hurricanes 2, Red Wings 3.

Brett Hull of the Red Wings had something nice to say about our team:

“I feel bad for the Hurricanes,” Hull said. “All that stuff that was said about them before the series? They’re a great team, and they’re embedded in the system their coach wants them to play. You get a team that plays that way and is determined, it’s such a tough system to crack. They’re a tough, tough opponent.”
