My stepbrother sent me a link to this editorial, which sums up why the profession of teaching is in such a sorry state today. It’s not just the kids who don’t respect teachers; the parents are just as — if not more — guilty of that sin. The fact that my wife loves teaching — despite all of the slings and arrows she endures every day — is wonderful. God bless her.
