The Wacky World of Public Transit

Today I decided to make use of Capital Area Transit. After all, there’s a bus stop a block away from my house.

Yes, it took four times longer to get from my house to work, but it was nice to spend that time reading Harper’s and relaxing. About 1/3 of the time was spent downtown exchanging buses at Moore Square (#3 Glascock Inbound to #4 Rex Hospital Outbound). The buses were fairly clean and the clientele all seemed to be pretty nice people. The #3 was mainly empty, but the the #4 was pretty packed — mostly nurses and support staff for Rex Hospital, I presume.

All this for $0.75. Not too bad.
