Electric Avenue

Theo and I are almost done with the electrical work. Now the kitchen’s electrical circuits might even meet code!

To do:

  • tidy up the attic and basement work areas

  • staple down some wire that’s been left hanging

  • label all of the breakers in the panel

  • and, oh yes, we still need to upgrade the service entrance to be rated for 200A

We’re scheduled to upgrade the service entrance and get inspected on the 6th. I had to go get a building permit in order to get the City of Raleigh to come inspect my electrical work. Without an inspection, CP&L will not reconnect your service if you have it dropped.

All Michelle is waiting for is the new pendant light to be hung on the front porch. She is easily pleased. (Yes, I promise to have it done RSN.)

After all this, I ate at Char-Grill. I had no idea it was open at 11:15 PM. Now, I know.
