Michelle and I went to visit the ’rents in CLT and to attend a wedding. My eldest first cousin finally got married. He is the last of the guys in the Sloan clan to get hitched. We are happy for him.

My cousin Christy is not getting any better, unfortunately. I love to see her whenever I can, because I don’t know how much longer she is for this world. She is still ambulatory, but barely. She’s fighting as hard as she can. It helps that she has such wonderful support from her family and friends.

I helped my dad repair his roof, which was kind of fun. It didn’t involve lots of hammering, just a liberal spreading of black goo.
