Late Night Thoughts

First of all, thank you to all of you who sent Michelle birthday greetings. She was definately happy to get the e-mails. :)

Tonight, we went to the Irregardless Café. Dinner was excellent, as usual. After having a salad with their lemon tahini dressing, I have decided that I need to figure out how to make some. After all, I have a big honking jar of tahini that needs to be used before it goes bad, and, as much as I like it, I can’t see myself just making hummous all year long.

Finally, I’ve decided that I need to futz around with Michelle’s old Thinkpad 365XD and get either FreeBSD or Gentoo Linux running on it. Not that I need another computer, but it would be nice to have something that could be used as a wireless X-Terminal and/or web client. The problem is that I accidently messed up the ribbon cables that attach the keyboard to the computer’s innards, so now it works, but with no keyboard. I guess I could try the external connector and use a real keyboard until I get a replacement one off of eBay.

If I get it working, I’m calling it “crapshoot”.
