Notes from the Holiday Weekend

Great Thanksgiving. Now, on to December! I still have to do Christmas shopping. Feh.

Wednesday evening. Cleared out most of the stuff in the office for painting.

Thursday. Went with Michelle to Fayetteville to visit my stepsister Kelli, her husband Chris, and their really cool kid, Sam. We ate turkey, and it was good. My dad and stepmom were there. My stepmom makes really good sweet potato casserole.

Friday. First coat of paint in the office. Painted the ceiling as well. Hung out with some friends for a bit in the evening at the Old Bar1.

Saturday. Breakfast at 102 with same friends from last night. Gym to work out. Second coat of paint in the office. Purchased the mirror that Michelle and I have been looking for in our living room from Z Gallerie.

Sunday. Church in the morning. Lowes. Panera. Home. No third coat necessary for the office, so slowly started moving stuff back in. Computer is not set up, so Smerpcast will remain down. Painted the mirror frame “hammered black”. While waiting for mirror frame to dry, changed the oil in the Acura (dang, it needed it — that stuff looked kinda nasty). Hung it on the wall. It rocks. Did general cleaning, paying of bills. Sleep.

1The Old Bar sucks. I’m too old for the whole loud-music-dance-club crap. Actually, I was never really into it. If it weren’t for friends I hadn’t seen in a long time, I would have rather stayed home.
2Unlike the song by Blue October, I am still with my lady, and I’m not bitter about it. :)
