Been up since I was jolted out of sleep the continued squawking from the two UPSes in the bedroom at 6:30-ish this morning. Still no power. I’m typing this from a secret, undisclosed location which does have power.

At least we have hot water (go, go gadget natural gas water heater).

All of our perishables are now out on the back deck in a cooler. The freezer stuff will be placed in a cooler overnight, since it’s supposed to get down in the 20s.

Kevin is lucky. He has fur.

Progress Energy says that it may be several days (i.e. four or five) before power is restored everywhere.

Armadillo Grill on Glenwood is serving their kick-ass chicken soft tacos now. If you are hungry and can make it there, I suggest you go.
