To Be Thrown on the Heap of Bad Jingles

The new jingle that Time Warner Cable is using to peddle their digital cable service is annoying, and not in a good way.

You may have heard it. It’s a sort of lite anonymous sounding disco/funk, featuring a strong piano and a chorus of terminally happy people periodically interjecting things like “Instant replay!” and “Instant downloads!” The pièce de resistance is the part where the chorus gets to make a swipe at cable’s only major competitor:

“Satellite can’t do tha-at!”

At this point, I want to reach for something heavy with which to smash whatever speaker (radio, TV) that this is coming out of. Thankfully, it only lasts about 30 seconds.
