Evidently, someone at FOX really hated this show. There is no other explanation for the ridiculous 7:00 PM time slot, which was frequently preempted by football. Futurama had great writing and talent, and produced more than its share of laugh-out-loud moments. In fact, the first season of Futurama was better than the last three seasons of The Simpsons, which have been sporadically funny at best.
