1 What’s with HP changing all of their product names to lowercase? I mean, it’s one thing to have marketing literature refer to a product in lowercase to be typographically interesting, but this printer’s product name is actually all lowercase. Even the printer driver lists the product name that way.
2 The thing was being really cranky, refusing to print, always ejecting a sheet of paper whenever it was turned on. Took it apart, removed the service station (where all the ink collects when it wastes primes the ink cartridges), cleaned it out, made a spectacular mess (needed to clean my hands with bleach — they were actually blue at one point from all the ink), and managed to put the whole thing back together, minus the super-absorbent pad that was inside the service station, which had to be discarded after an attempt to clean it with soap and water. After all that, it’s still cranky. At least I didn’t make things worse.
