I present to you the video from LFO’s new single, “Freak”, from their forthcoming album, Sheath. This will be their first album in seven years. And the lead single is pretty awesome: it triple-dog dares you not to move something.
In the video, a young Chinese schoolgirl locks her teacher in a toilet stall, puts “Freak” on the loudspeakers, and joins her mates on the rooftop playground. There, they play and dance to brutally stomping old-school techno beats. After a while, they start to look a bit maniacal and well, um… freaky. The teacher eventually escapes her prison, shuts off the song (at the end, of course). Was she too late to save the girls? Find out!
Nota bene! The aforementioned LFO — the techno band featuring Mark Bell from Sheffield, England — is not the same as the newer, dumber LFO from boy-band hell Orlando, Florida, USA: the Lyte Funky Ones, as it were.
