At around this time in the morning, thirty years ago, at Brooks Memorial Hospital, 529 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, NY, USA, a little girl was born to Ms. Angela Hall. She would eventually grow up, be the first in her family to go to college, move down South, and, at 22 years of age, would encounter her first hurricane (Fran!). In the course of all this, she would meet someone whose life she would change forever, for the better. That little girl grew up to be my love, my partner-in-crime, my support, and my wife.

Happy Birthday, Michelle… thank you, thank you, thank you. May we have many, many more years together.
