Child Seat Safety!

Today, I installed our new infant seat into our Mitsubishi Expo. After much consternation, frustration and exasperation involving pressing the infant seat base into the seat with one knee while using one hand to push down on the toe of said seat and using the other hand to cinch up the lap belt, checking the installation, oh no does it wobble to the side too much maybe I should go and get it checked out but wait, everything seems fine and will I have to do this over and over and oh, it doesn’t fit in the center rear of the Acura, and it only fits behind the passenger’s seat but we have to push that seat way up so that only a child could ride up front which will force any other adult, like, say, my wife, have to ride alongside the baby which isn’t so bad, really, unless you don’t like riding next to babies but Michelle and I love babies thus far so this doesn’t apply to us… I finally got it installed securely. I think. They’ll check it before we leave the hospital, so I’m not too concerned.

This little illustration of a baby in a infant seat from the 1994 Mitsubishi Expo LRV Owner’s Manual is so cute:
