Update: It’s all gone, except the bag of “stuff” no one seems to want. Time for eBay, I suppose.
Some used, but still good, computer equipment for sale. As a prospective buyer, you live in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area and can just come pick up this stuff so the Postal Service (the organisation, not the band) doesn’t have to schlep it across the continent.
I want to sell this stuff ASAP so I can get my mitts on an iPod. So hurry up and buy something already.
Here’s what I have to offer. Prices are non-negotiable.
| -Envision EN-7100e 17" LCD Monitor- | sold) |
| -Dual-Processor Athlon System1- | sold) |
| -Western Digital 120GB HDD- | sold) |
| -Creative Labs Nomad Jukebox (6 GB version)- | sold) |
| -PNY Verto nVidia GeForce FX 5200 128 MB DDR video adapter3- | sold) |
I also have in my possession a grab bag of computer crap that I’m willing to part with for a $20 bill. There’s a bunch of old cables, SCSI external CD-RW drive, and miscellaneous junk I’ve collected over several years that I have no use for anymore. Why not buy it off of me? Then it can be your problem!
E-mail me if you are interested in buying. If you have a question, leave a comment below; that way, the answer I give can be seen by all.
1 The specifications on the Athlon system are as follows:
- Tyan SP2460 motherboard
- Dual Athlon MP 1600 processors
- 1 GB ECC DRAM
- nVidia GeForce 2 MX Graphics Card
- Creative Labs Soundblaster PCI128
- CD-RW Drive
- DVD-ROM Drive
- Maxtor 20 GB HDD
- Microsoft Natural Keyboard
- PS/2 Mouse of some sort
- and, lest we forget, a floppy drive2
All of this is surrounded by a halfway decent InWin case with a 300W PSU from some vendor whose name eludes me.
The system is nice. I’ve enjoyed it for about two years now. Good for medium-end gaming, multimedia work, or just some extreme word processing. Whatever. Probably would make a kickass Linux system, too.
2 Good riddance. Who needs those things, anyways?
3 Check your motherboard manufacturer for compatibility before buying, as I’ve been told that these cards are a bit picky.
