My ailing iBook was fixed by TenPlus Systems on Tuesday. They replaced the hard drive, and since I had Applecare I didn’t pay them a dime. I took it home, reinstalled Mac OS X 10.3.7, and was doing fine until last night, when the replacement hard drive screeched and gronked and clicked and crashed.
After much cussing and shaking of fists, I packed up my sick Mac and took it back to TenPlus. Hopefully, the next drive they put in will not suffer from infant mortality.
