John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats evidently lives in Durham, and has had a blog (Last Plane to Jakarta) for a while now.
Everyone I know who has listened to The Mountain Goats has told me that I’d totally like his stuff, but so far, the only MG stuff I have heard are the three songs that Atom and His Package covered on Redefining Music (and they were all good).
