Real Live Preacher has a short little post up about churches who, based on their exterior, seem to be more enamored with the country they are located in rather than the God they serve.
If my memory serves me correctly, there is an enormous American flag over Providence Baptist Church on Glenwood in Raleigh. It’s not the only huge flag flying above that church1, and while I’m not sure where the American flag is in relation to the others, I still find it kind of odd to see a place of worship Christianity dress itself in a jingoistic manner.
1 My wife and I call it “Six Flags over Jesus”.
