My iBook’s back already. Everything seems fine, and they didn’t have to wipe the hard drive.
The only troubling thing is that the service details lists that the repair was not covered by AppleCare. If I get an invoice in the mail with anything over “$0.00” on it, then someone’s gonna get an earful, as I was promised by a service rep that my problem was covered, if not by the extension program, than by AppleCare itself (which isn’t scheduled to lapse for my iBook until February 2006).
