Jesus, woman! It’s about time you followed up your somewhat-underwhelming last album (The Red Shoes) released twelve years ago. You’ve been teasing us fans for several years with little missives to the Kate Bush fanzine that you are doing something in your home studio besides dusting.
Now, according to EMI’s press release, the wait is almost over. The new double (!) album is called Aerial. It will be released on 7 November in the UK, preceded by its first single, “King of the Mountain” on 24 October. Us Yanks will have to wait a whole extra day until 8 November.
Let the impossible expectations begin!
Kate: If this isn’t better than both Hounds of Love and The Dreaming put together, you’ve totally lost me. (Just kidding: all it would have to be better than is your last album, which wasn’t bad, just merely good.)
By the way: will someone inform Kevin Shields that he better damn well hurry up on the new My Bloody Valentine album? I mean, come on… fifteen years?
Ditto re: Fields of the Nephilim.
