I Went to Beirut and All I Got Was This Lousy Photograph

So, Little Green Footballs1 has uncovered another journalistic scandal: a Lebanese photographer was dropped from Reuters after submitting a heavily- (and badly-) altered photograph of Beirut. It appears that the photographer used the clone tool to add more smoke to the original photograph, perhaps to make the results of the bombing more “dramatic”.

Well, I for one am glad that LGF “broke” the story! Because what matters most is not that people are killing one another, taking with them innocent civilians on both sides. What matters is the act of sticking a finger in the eye of that old shibboleth called the MSM. Way to go!

So, let’s not fret about people needlessly dying in what might turn out to be World War III; instead, let’s rejoice in the comfort given by sussing out a sneaky photographer!
