Ken packaged Opera for Foresight Desktop Linux a while back. This is all well and good, but I wanted to keep track of the nightly builds of Opera that are being churned out as the Opera team approaches 9.10. So, I created my own project on rBuilder Online for the sole purpose of maintaining the latest builds of Opera, stable or otherwise.
Thus, opera.rpath.org. Yes, it’s unofficial, and not endorsed by anyone (especially not Opera Software ASA or my employer), but for those few of you who use a Conary-based distro and like Opera, you might find it of use. Cheers.
For the latest stable release1 (at the time of this writing, this is 9.02):
conary update opera=opera.rpath.org@opera:1-release
For the latest weekly build:
conary update opera=opera.rpath.org@opera:1-unstable
1 This is identical to the package over at foresight.rpath.org@fl:1-contrib, except that my version correctly lists Opera as 9.02, not 9.0.2.
