Well, it’s 2009. Time to lose weight.
No, seriously.
This morning, I weighed in at 235 pounds, which is up from 231 pounds just before the Christmas break. I blame the holidays, and the orgy of food that was eaten near or during our anniversary. (BTW, when in Charlotte, do eat at the Cajun Queen. Follow that up with a trip to the Penguin Drive-In. Then don’t eat again for a week.)
Anyways, since this is about seven pounds shy of my all-time maximum weight, it is time to do something about it. I’ve been a member of the YMCA since this Summer, but merely carrying the membership card doesn’t seem to be working. Also, drinking copious amounts of diet soft drinks and using Splenda instead of sugar are kind of moot points when you’re opting for CONSUMING MASS QUANTITIES OF EVERYTHING.
So, my goal is to actually reach 160 pounds by the end of the year. I’ll be checking in once a month to report on progress.
